We are happy to engage with ALL of our community members, especially those with wings and paws! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth at today`s Cool Cruise Car Show!

The City of La Verne steadfastly opposes any potential movement of probationary youth into Camps Afflerbaugh or Paige.
The residential camps provide youth with education, medical, and mental health services but are not designed nor structured as detention facilities nor for youth with serious offenses. These camps do not meet the basic criteria set forth by the Board of State and Community Corrections, which in fact is what Los Padrinos is alleged to not even meet at this time.
The City agrees with the Department’s Global Plan to shut Camp Paige and requests that the Board of Supervisors continue to implement at least that portion of the plan to shut it down as has been promised for years.
We understand that at this time the County is assessing its options, but moving youth into Camps Afflerbaugh or Paige must not be one of those options.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Ecks on successfully completing his extensive field training this week. He has officially hit the streets solo and continues to serve the community of La Verne.
Stay safe out there Sir!
