As the Chief of Police, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our newly designed website. Our team has put in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure that this platform provides easy access to important information and tools to better serve our community.
The La Verne Police Department is dedicated to maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone. Our agency is comprised of 45 sworn officers, 27 professional staff members, a Reserve Officer force of up to 25, and 26 dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to uphold our mission of protecting and serving our community with integrity, professionalism, and respect.

In observance of Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11th our Records Division will be closed.
We will not enforce the overnight parking restriction on Tuesday, November 11th, from 2:00am - 5:00am.
Enforcement will resume Wednesday, November 12th at 2:00am.
Halloween festivities will continue through the night but we wanted to thank everyone who stopped by the public safety building to trick or treat with us while our candy supply lasted!
As the night continues we remind trick or treaters to follow the safety tips we provided in our last post (👀).
As always we ask drivers to use extra caution, avoid distractions and SLOW DOWN.
Lastly we wish the Dodgers the best of luck!

Happy Halloween!!!! As we get ready for this extra spooky day 👻 we want to share a few Halloween Safety Tips! 🎃👻🍬
🔦Light up the Night: Carry a flashlight or wear reflective clothing to stay visible in the dark
👻👻Stick Together: Trick-or-treat in groups and always let someone know your route
👩🎤Safe Costumes: Ensure costumes fit well and don’t obstruct vision. Avoid sharp or heavy accessories
🚘Road Rules: Use crosswalks, obey traffic signals, and be extra cautious when crossing streets
🍬Candy Check: Adults should examine all treats before eating. Discard anything unwrapped or suspicious
We’ll be trick or treating here at the public safety building beginning at 2pm until the candy runs out! Stop by and see us!
